What are sessions like?
For even my half hour sessions, sessions will include an energy body scan for blockages, energy parasites and spirit attachments, harmful spellwork, damage to your energy, and anything else that’s of particular note that needs healing and addressing. This automatically includes the removal of anything negative on or around your energy body. I then spend at least 3 minutes or more per energy point sending Reiki to it working as thoroughly as I can, including using symbols as needed. Finally, I do an overall grounding and cleanse.
My write-ups include anything that’s been noted as important that came up during the session, though I may not write down everything I’ve seen because of my focus on doing as much healing as possible in the timeframe you paid for. I also prefer being able to talk somewhat to the client during sessions, but again unless it’s of importance you may not see me talking a great deal throughout it - even though it doesn’t mean a lot of work isn’t being done!
Why is there no spot treatment for healing work?
I do my work with a fairly holistic approach to healing. I’m of the belief that unlike when a simple reading is done, it’s hard to heal just one area when other areas may be affecting that spot and playing a role in what’s happening there. Otherwise, there’s risk for problems continuing to pop up in that area. Thus, the whole body is looked at and energy sent to it for healing. This is why I don’t currently offer spot treatments for Reiki sessions, even though it’s possible for Reiki sessions to have greater focus on one area over others.
What are the differences between Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3/Masters Reiki?
• Level One •
This level enables the basic ability to send out Reiki and heal with it, and although it does not enable the use of Reiki symbols, can be just as powerful. This level is frequently obtained by even those who aren't looking to go up the levels with Reiki, but just want the ability to energetically heal themselves and loved ones. Many also simply like that it assists with protection against harmful energies, and on a level can help with emotional regulation particularly with a regular meditative practice (that's performed in a non-religious manner).
• Level Two •
This level of Reiki use is a slight step above Level One Reiki use, where symbols may or may not be used by the practitioner to boost and direct energy. Like Level One Reiki, this level may be obtained even by those who aren't looking to become professional Reiki practitioners, but who are still looking to strengthen their practice.
• Level Three/Master Reiki •
In the Western Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki system, this level is generally considered the final empowerment that a Reiki practitioner can obtain, allowing them access to a few more symbols to direct and boost the energy. At this level, the most amount of Reiki is able to be accessed, and the practitioner in the Western System also general gains the right to teach and give attunements/empowerments (in the Eastern System a further level is necessary for those rights). Usually gained just by those who want to become professional Reiki practitioners, but is also gained by those who are just looking for completion of the levels of practice.
How does Reiki (and energy healing in general) work?
Reiki works primarily with the energy body and auric field, and the application of a universal life force energy, which is able to be channeled through the practitioner after one or more attunements to it. The healing of the energy body and auric field can then transfer into healing on a physical and emotional level as well. Clients usually report feeling warmed and relaxed during a session, along with the easing of pain, much like getting a spa day. Because of Reiki always working for a person’s highest good, sometimes things like uncomfortable emotions or after the session feeling you’re about to catch a cold can crop up (though this should dissipate in a few days), but it is generally because that’s something that needs working through.
Imagine the energy flow of the energy body like a circuit. When something goes wrong with the circuit, such as a blockage, it can throw off the system a great deal. Energy may work itself around a blockage to try to still function and compensate, but ultimately everything works best when the energies are able to flow freely and without obstruction. Reiki works to remove and heal these obstructions, helping to get you back on track to good overall health.
When Reiki is applied to a past or future self, it is quite literally sent through time and space to get there, so it thus can be helpful for expected or past instances of high stress (such as a big test or job interview) as well as trauma. In a similar manner, Reiki can also work on a spiritual level, helping a person out with their spiritual path for example.
Incompatibility can also occur, but this is not frequent, and is generally spotted by the practitioner when the energy body additionally rejects or is resistant to the Reiki energy being applied (and the forceful application of Reiki past this point can leave a person feeling quite sick). It may then be most helpful to get an energy healing of a different type.
How does distance healing work?
Energy healing is a wonderful method of healing because it does not require direct touch to be effective - even for in-person sessions. With this same principle, healing energy can be sent over a long distance, and even time and space to other lives/selves and ancestors just as effectively as getting an in-person session. This counts for attunements as well, despite attunements being traditionally given in person (although attunements tend to still involve at least some sort of “class” to go with them).
